Rachael Ray Recipe Review

Yesterday I decided I wanted to make something different for dinner. I am the queen of packaged food and decided I wanted to try and make something my boyfriend would be proud of. So I went on the net and found this recipe from rachael ray's website
the pros: the recipe was easy to follow
my son ate it
my boyfriend ate it
easily makes enough to cook half and freeze the other half for my family of 3
the cons:
i didnt like it :( ok not really it was ok but not something that I would make on a weekly or monthly basis. I would make it when I have my vegetarian mother over I think she would like it. I think that the spinach taste was a little overbearing for me. I was hoping it would taste more like spinach artichoke dip in shells.
All in all its worth the time to make it even if its just to get your kid to eat spinach

Happy 18th Birthday E!

Today my baby brother turns 18 years old. It is unbelievable to think that much time has gone by. I was 11 when he was born. I have loved watching him grow up. He really has turned into a great man and I really hope life turns out just as he hopes! Thinking back on how quickly the last 18 years have gone and how quickly E grew up, it makes me think of my own son and how in just 15 short years he too will turn 18. It reminds me to slow down and appreciate every minute with my son!
This is a sketch from scrapsketch
my boyfriend is an excellent cook but he takes FOREVER to cook but as you can see the final result is always worth it!
Another sketch from scrapsketch

The collage is print is a new service offered at Walgreens as soon as I saw them I was in love and knew I would be ordering some. i had alot of pictures from the visit to the childrens museum so this was a great way to get alot of them on a page!

disney countdown calender

Its almost the most wonderful time of year again! Time for our family vacation!!
This will be the 3rd year in a row that we are going to Walt Disney World on our family vacation.
Having both me and my BF both growing up in FL we have been to Disney many times. Both with family and with school.
I had never stayed at a Disney hotel until 3 years ago when I was searching the web and came across a Disney deal for free dining. I immediately ran the numbers and went to show BF how much it was, well he told me to book it! I was shocked our son was 2 months shy of 2 so he was still free. We had such a great time we went back in 08 and dragged our friends and their son with us. Before we even checked out of the hotel we booked our 2009 trip. I was thinking it would NEVER get here but it is now coming up very soon. This is the first year we have had to pay for DS and I think its going to be the best year yet!
I wanted to get my DS excited about things we would see and do there so I made this countdown calender every day he will tear off a number and see a picture underneath, we will talk about it and hopefully both get really excited to see it at Mickeys house!
On the day we leave i have a picture of Tinkerbell underneath and she is going to leave DS a little treat bag of Disney stuff I have picked up, autograph book, pens, fan, etc...

the pictures underneath, some are from previous trips and some I found online

Working girl again

Well this this is what I will be on for probably around 50 hours this week. thats right its back to being a working girl for me. We are lucky enough to have enough work to need another worker, well with our vacation quickly approaching we decided to have me go out and run the mower and save the money. This means a few things for me:

1. I am going to have a really nice farmers tan
2. I might actually be able to lose the 10lbs I want to lose before vacation since i wont be sitting at home
3. I will have a little bit of money to go out and buy myself some new clothes since when I lose said 10lbs I will HAVE NOTHING that fits me, all my clothes are all ready way to big since I lost 30+ lbs.

Hopefully my boyfriend will be able to finish up his job within 2 weeks and I can resume as a SAHM

anyways I probably wont have anything crafty to share for a bit :( But with CHA being last weekend I am sure I will have alot of things to lust after and share.
