Cuttlebug challenge
Ok so I am out of order this was number 4 for the month I am proud to say I completed all 5 challenges at Cuttlebug Challenge this month! Can you tell I really want to win those new folders!?!?
Week 4's challenge was:
We challenge you our fantastic readers to create altered projects from items in your recycle bin, containers to books the sky is the limit.Your bonus folder for this week is the textile folder from Provo Craft.Provo craft is our sponsor again this week and will be giving those fantastic new folders to winners that participate in all 4 challenges for the month, you still have time to enter.
So I decided to use my sons empty vitamin bottle and make it into a pretty small vase. My son loves picking me out flowers from our garden but none of them have very long stems so none of my vases work. Now I can put this infront of my kitchen sink and see and smell all the beautiful flowers my boys pick for me :)
Ok i know its crooked sorry! but this is what is started out as

Grieving makes me scrap?
A week ago today I lost a good friend way to soon. This past week has been one of the hardest of my life. Back in Feb she lost her 10 week old son to SIDS Even though I had known her for the last 10 years it has only been in the last 3 years I have gotten closer to her. I was lucky enough to share her Bachelorette Party, Wedding, Baby Shower, birth or her son all with her in the last 2 years and was there to support her when her son passed away. I wish there was more I could have done but I have realized I need to stop thinking of the what ifs beacause she has gone to be with her son, the one thing she wanted more than anything and hopefully one day I will see them again.
To try and get my mind off of things I decided to sit down and scrap.
None of these are my new favorite LO but they did the trick of getting my mind off of things.
oh and they are not all croked I just cant take a straight picture. LOL

Welcome to the scrappy blog hop!
This hops challenge was to use hidden journaling.
Hidden journaling is something I do alot. I like to do my journaling in my handwriting but I have really sloppy handwriting so hiding it is the best of both worlds. When i put these hidden journaling pages in my album I simply cut out with an exacto knife where needed to be able to pull out the hidden journaling. Now Hop on over to Ericas Blog to see what she came up with for this hop.

New LO
this was the 1st Lo I forced myself to do to try and regain my mojo again. I am not thrilled with it which is a shame because I love these pictures. The green/orange stips are alchol inks another class I watched over on twopeas that made me want to break them out and give them a try.
Be sure to come back tomorrow for a blog hop!

Another Cuttlebug Challenge
I am really hoping to do all 4 challenges over at Cuttlebug challenges this month to be entered into a drawing for some new embossing folders.
This week challenge is to create a woodsy outdoor project, using woodsy animals (except for snakes) using twigs, pebbles anything from nature..We have a fun Colour template for you as a component for this week.
This is stretching it a bit but my son was insipred by nature and pretended the new hose I bought was a birds nest. So I thought I could use some cute woodland birds on a LO with these pictures.

Cooking with Splenda
I have never baked with Splenda before but recieved a recipe book and thought I would give a recipe a try since I had some bannanas going bad, I decided on Bananna Chocolate Chip Muffins
They turned out so good! I fed them to my family without telling them they were made with splenda and they all loved them also. Next up to try is Chocolate Chip Cookies!
3 new ones
We are inbetween cable company's and it turns out when you dont have TV to entertain you, you actually do some crafts and cleaning and baking. LOL
Last night I did 3 new LOs
not in love with this one, think it needs something
my DH ruined the picture on the left IMO so I tried to "ink" him out as much as possible so you just focus on my DS

Cuttlebug challenge
Over at Cuttlebug Challenges they have a great contest going on right now....
MONTHLY CHALLENGE ANNOUNCEMENT: For the month of July participate in all 4 of the challenges for a chance to win some of the new folders that will be at CHA, before they get to the stores. How Kewl is that eh?Our Challenge this week is Red, White and Blue; buttons and the bonus folder is the Swiss dots. Help us celebrate America's Birthday and Meda's. Have fun with the challenge and can’t wait to see what you come up with!
so I enlisted the help of my son since cuttlebug is his favorite thing to do! We made a flag from his handprint and made it into a card to send to family! The Independence circle was cut from the cricut graphically speaking cartridge. And the cuttlebug folder used was swiss dots.
2 new ones
I am guilty of not using my cricut expression nearly as often as I should I am even more guilty of not using design studio! So I decided to play around with it I used this sketch from creative scrappers.
I welded the happy birthday and the circle that worked just as I envisioned. Well the scalloped rectangle I tried to design didnt work at all so I just glued it together.
the pictures are of my dad and SJ on my dads 50th birthday.
My son making and feeding his Zippy monkey that was also his daddys childhood monkey
*both insist I cant call it a doll*

Some Vacation LO's
A very simple but pretty LO of SJ's 1st snow angel.
Back in March when I went up to PA to visit my dad for his 50th birthday, my best friend happened to be working in NJ so we planned a NYC day, my dad was kind enough to buy us all tickets to see Wicked! It was a great show, I highley recomend it. Before the show started the line to the ladies room was at least 40 women deep and as usual the mens room was close to empty so when my dad came out and said it was "safe" to go in Me, Jenny, Lisa and Aunt Kathleen all booked it in the Mens room well about 30 women followed us. I kind of felt bad for the one lone man that was in a stall in there. Even though women had invaded the mens room, the men didnt seem to care they kept coming in and using the urinal. Of course I had to snap a picture of the last girl coming out and that happened to be my best friend Jenny.
The playbill is tucked behind the green PP that i made into a pocket. The Wicked! title is from the pamphlet they give you as you are leaving asking you to buy merchandise.
