A new scrapbook store = New LO's

Finally a scrapbook store has opened in my town. Not only is it in town it is right down the road and I have to drive past it at least twice a day. This could mean trouble for my bank account. I was also so excited to see they are offering classes. I think I may sign up for a few after the holidays.

Black Friday

Are you a "crazy" black Friday shopper?? I am!!

for the last 5 years I have gone black Friday shopping. This year was my first year I had to do it solo. :(

I went to Walmart at midnight scooped up most of the midnight deals I wanted then got in line for a 5am doorbuster around 1am. Yep I stayed in line from 1am-5am for an eletronic doorbuster. I ended up getting the $298 HP laptop for my dh this christmas. I know alot of people think I am crazy but I actually do enjoy it! I made friends in line, got a great deal and was home by 6am! Yep thats right I only went to one store, not my usual but since Im still getting over a cold I figured I better not stay out shopping much longer. There were a few things Walmart had sold out of instore that I was disappointed but I came home went online and ordered all but one of them online with free shipping! Doesn't get much easier than that!
Im going to be hitting up some more sales today. :)

Have a Date Night at home. GIVEAWAY

Who doesnt love a date night? I know around here they are few and far between.
Here we are pre kids when we use to go out on dates often!
Life always seems to get in the way, so when myblogspark.com and Wanchai Ferry and Macaroni Grill asked me if I wanted to sample there product for a home date night I was excited. I made the Macaroni Grill and loaded a Netflix movie for our date night. My boyfriend isnt a fan of "boxed" food so I didnt tell him it was boxed. We both really like the way the chicken and the sauce turned out the noodles were a bit bland but overall it made a quick yummy dinner! Im not a fan of Orange Chicken so I left this one for my boys to have a guys night and eat when I had a meeting to attend. They both were fans and have requested I make it again.
Would you like to try these yourself for free??
I thought so!

All you have to do is leave a comment telling me what you do to make date nights at home special and/or fun! DO this by November 26th at 11am est. I will chose a winner using random.org

good luck!!

Its the most wonderful time of the year

Yes it is! The time is finally here in south florida when we do more things. Now that you can be outside for more than a few minutes without gallons of sweat dripping off of you.
My friend Julia over at Work,Wife,Mom...Life, made a summer bucket list. I thought I would make my own for our nice time of year.
Here is what I have come up with.

--go on nature walks at local natural areas at least 5 different parks!

-throw an awesome birthday party for my little man

- talk SJ to a baseball game

- Go to a NFL game

- go horseback riding on the beach

-Throw a snowball at my dh (this is intresting since we live in FL where it doesnt snow, can I possibly get dh to go up north?)

- read at least 2 books

-cut my hair into a cute hairstyle

-lose at least 20lbs

- workout at least 2x a week every week

- Have 2 date nights with dh

- have a weekend away just me and dh

-blog more

- Have a fun girls night out with only my girlfriends. (hmm can i convince them to leave the men at home?)

So what are your goals for this winter?

Elmers and X-acto review

its been a scrappy weekend! Yeah!
Bzzagent.com,elmers and x-acto were kind enough to send me all these cool supplies.
I usually use an ATG gun for my adhesive as I go through so much, it had been a while since I had used a small tape runner. I have to say I LOVE This one!! I have done 5 LO's with it allready and its not even half gone! The glue stick was great too, I used it for some of my smaller paper pieces I was using and it held up great.
The corner puncher is OUTSTANDING! Simple to use, I dont know why but the previous one I had sometimes messed up and left a hard edge. Not this one! I will definetly be buying more of these glues when I run out and looking for more X-acto supplies.

Here is the whole product line:
Here is the 1st LO I used these supplies on. Notice the rounded rounded corners on the picture :)

Mickeys Not so Scary Halloween Party

Im back! My family and I traveled to Walt Disney World last week. I will be writing a few posts about our expierences. Today I want to focus on Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party
This was our very 1st time attending the party.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the party.

The parade was awesome. This float actually smelt like candy! Make sure if you attend you find a spot early. You wont want to miss the beginning, the headless horseman leads the way!

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy dressed in their halloween costumes.
The had 3 dance parties set up we only made our way to one of them but it was the one with Woody and Jessie. I love this picture of my little Woody with the real Woody!
There are quite a few photo opportunities you get at MNSSHP that are not available on normal days.
Like this one with all 7 dwarfs!
Minnie in her halloween costume
the fireworks were at 9:30 and they literally lit up the whole park. It was beautiful.

If you are a Disney lover like me you will not be disappointed with this party. We will definitely attend again.

Why is scrapping Disney so hard?

I love Disney World, we live fairly close and are lucky enough to have annual passes this year. This leads to alot of Disney pictures to scrapbook. I tend to take pictures of the same things and at the same places, this leads me to get bored of scrapping Disney pages. I have 2 Disney vacations I need to scrap still and I have 2 more Disney vacations planned.

Idid manage to get some Disney inspiration last week and did 2 LO's

The animal kingdom tag was made by me. Tall tales title was made by a friend.

This PP is new and is what got my Disney mojo going again! Unfortunetly I ran out of little black letters, going to have to pick some up to finish this LO.

Come back next week for a chance to win a $25 Sams giftcard from me, Sams and myblogspark!

RIP Tonka

yesterday my sweet doggie Tonka passed away. She was 13 years old and her health has been failing for a long time. We knew the end was near. She must have waited for me and SJ to get home from out trip to pass.
When I met baby daddy he already had Tonka she was about a year old. She ate EVERYTHING! The trim on the house, shoes, hats, even the bottle of spray that was suppose to make her stop eating thing. Once we discovered she had eaten a few lightbulbs. Looking back it was probably a miracle she lived to be 13.
When SJ was born she was 9 years old an I will be honest we were a bit concerned on how she would act with him. That was a silly worry because from the moment SJ came home she was his dog. She would always lay by him. When he would spit up she was right there to clean it up. They really became best friends when he started eating and dropping table food.
Over the past year Tonka's health has really been failing. Her back legs failed and in the end we were carrying her outside. She never cried or growled at or to us. We always said we wanted her to die naturally and at home since our big mean dog hated the car and other animals.
I hope she knew how much we loved her and how empty our house feels without her.
Here are some of my favorite picture of her.

Our family before SJ. Yes I put antlers on my dog.

One of the many beds I made for Tonka

Our 1st family photo. SJ was about a month old.My absolute favorite picture of Tonka and SJ

Just a few weeks ago.

RIP Tonka you were the best dog we could have asked for.
You will be missed so very much

A fathers day page

With Fathers day approaching fast, i decided to finally scrap last years pictures. I spent all day making these, they are vanilla cupcakes for the bun, a brownie burger, coconut for the lettuce and icing for mustard and katchup. I also made fries our of sugar cookies to go with them. This idea was not original I found it on a blog last year. I asked baby daddy if he wanted me to make them again and he said no beacause they were too delicious and he is trying to watch his waistline. LOL
* i used a sketch from acherryontops june contest for this LO*

Letter C

The last 2 days we have concentrated on the letter Cc

We made a Crab out of a C just like over at Totally Tots. We have been hanging these on his wall in his room and going over them every day. He loves adding new ones.

We made our C page for our alphabet book, 1st he glued the C's to construction paper.

then we made Colorful Car tracks on the Cc's
This was definitely one of SJ's favorite activities so far.

Today we went to the beach and we practiced drawing the letters we have learned in the sand. I'm not sure why but he cant seem to remember what an A is he keeps calling it L but if I ask him what A says he knows and can think of things that start with the sound. He knows most of the end of the alphabet so those will be easy for him hopefully these will click soon.

Tomorrow we start D.

also I have a sweet giveaway coming up, keep checking back.

Letters of the Week Summer School

Some friends of mine and I decided to put together a little summeralphabet learning fun for our 4 year olds.

We stared this week with A and B.

this was the 1st time he ever stayed in the lines.

I found this great website Totally Tots that has all these cute alphabet crafts we are going to do every letter and hang them in his room.

This afternoon we will be having applesauce for snack and using apples to paint with as well as reading a book about Apples.

Our Garden is Growing

Here are some pics of our garden from yesterday. Our squash is flowering which means a squash should follow soon. Yeah! Our Zinnias are getting ready to flower too.

I think romaine lettuce is the slowest growing thing ever but that will make it taste all that much better right?

Mothers Day 2010

I hope all my fellow mommies had a great Mothers Day. Mine was spent at home a nice quiet day with my boys where SJ kept reminding daddy that mommy had the day off. What a good boy!
